The article proposes an approach to the study of technological metaphor in three aspects: the examination of a technical object as containing its own metaphorical substrate, the thematization of a technical object in a poetic text and metaphorization strategies, and the implicit functioning of a technological metaphor at the level of the whole text, which affects the communication structure of poetic discourse.
