Use of mathematical methods in the analysis and forecasting of nitrogen-phosphorus cycle indicators in the Pregolya river basin
... time-series analysis (LOESS smoothing). As a result of the cluster analysis, three groups of observations were identified, reflecting different periods of nutrient input. Factor analysis made it possible to identify two latent factors: “nitrogen load from organic sources” and “the ratio of organic and mineral forms of nitrogen.” Time-series analysis of factor scores revealed nonlinear dynamics and long-term trends in changes in water quality. The study demonstrates that the integrated application ...
Linearity and compositionality in the semantics of binomial stable constructions
The article examines binomial stable syntactic constructions (BSSCs) as a distinct class of phraseologized expressions in Russian. The analysis focuses on the interaction between two key parameters of their semantic organisation: linearity and compositionality. Linearity is understood not merely as a formal property of syntactic word order, but also as a cognitive mechanism that shapes the perception and interpretation of meaning. Compositionality is defined as the extent to which the overall meaning...

Mercury content in fish caught in the Northern Dvina below a pulp and paper mill
... rivers tend to have swampy watersheds with a high content of hydrogen ions and humic substances. These conditions are favourable for the formation of bioavailable mercury. Thus, even background mercury concentrations can pose a danger to aquatic organisms. The Northern Dvina River attracts particular attention regarding mercury pollution due to the presence of pulp and paper mills in the area. These mills have historically utilised mercury in their production processes.

Reclaiming the “Cultural Mandate”: The Idea of Sustainable Development in the Kantian Perspective
In the Club of Rome report Come on! Capitalism, Short-Termism, Population and the Destruction of the Planet (2018) Kant, along with other “old” Enlighteners, is presented as the father of a world-view which led to the destabilisation of the environment in which humanity exists. The authors of the report argue that the “old Enlightenment” with its individualism, faith in the market and a consumerist attitude to nature should be scrapped. I maintain that this assessment of Kant’s philosophy is groundless...

Dialektik als Logik des Scheins. Zu Kants Lektüre von Michael Piccarts Isagoge
