The article is devoted to the study of German phraseological units and paroemias, which go back to Martin Luther and reflect the era of the Reformation and its confessional values. The analysis showed that the unique confessional experience left a significant trace in the phraseological picture of the world of the German people. The author draws a conclusion that the conceptual foundation of set expressions is determined by the basic ideas of the Protestant creed. The main attention is paid to the...
‘Genuine criticism’: An unknown reception of Kant’s philosophy in early works of Schopenhauer
... Schopenhauer’s philosophy is stressed. The author investigates Schopenhauer’s reception of the above aspects of Kant’s philosophy in 1811—1813 and its later evolution. For this purpose, the author addresses Schopenhauer’s manuscripts (early philosophical aphorisms and comments and marginal notes on Kant’s works, etc.), as well as the first edition of Schopenhauer’s doctoral dissertation On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason (1813). The mentioned influence of Kant’s philosophy ...
A poetic function in an expanding context: title — monoverse — polytext (on the example of Ivan Zhdanov's poetry)
The article analyses the poetic function as a mechanism for the semantic and compositional structuring of the text. The research aims to study repetition and parallelism, expanding the context from the heading to the minimal text and the textual unity within a poetic book and forming micro- and metacycles with movable boundaries. The material of the research is Ivan Zhdanov's monoverses, which were considered both immanently and as part of the book. The main methods of research are semantic...

The mutual similarity of meanings and structures in a literary text
This paper discusses a discourse grounding strategy that has not been described before. It is shown that the fragments of a literary text that are perceived as impressive, aphoristic, etc., tend to have a set of recurrent features. Firstly, in such fragments, there often is mutual reflectedness of meanings (it emerges in metaphors, similes, parallelisms, or juxtapositions of contradictory notions). Second, mutual reflectedness goes through pronounced detrivialization, i.e it is emphasised using...

A page of poetical Kant heritage
... interpretations of both the personality of philosopher and his teaching on God and human being. In his poems about Kant, poet Alexander Kushner demonstrates theological agnosticism, which correlates with Kant’s own theories. In the poem Kant's Mask and the aphorisms Kant Unmasked, Vl. Mikushevich addresses Kant’s attitude to God from the religiousphilosophical point of view. Such dialogue at a high level of poetic and philosophical culture enriches these cultures.

The metaphor as a means of psychological intervention in training teachers
Based on his own experience, the author stresses the considerable poten-tial of metaphor in increasing the level of self-consciousness of teachers at a special psychological training. The article explores the significance of the met-aphor for the humanities (psychology) and exact sciences (mathematics). Since each person is characterised by their own unique individual semantic space elements, whose elements are metaphorical, it is possible to identify a set of in-dividual metaphors. This underlies...

Immaturity and the objective of a true reform in ways of thinking. Part I.
The originality of Kant’s answer to the question of the Enlightenment in a 1784 article consisted not in addressing the words of Horace, which was commonplace in Germany of the time, but in linking it to the revised legal notion of immaturity, which is now interpreted from the philosophical and theological perspective and has become one of key philosophical notions. However, Kant’s view is fraught with certain complications: firstly, it is dominated by negative characteristics; secondly, unlimited...
