I. Kant in the development of N. O. Lossky’s philosophical views: The case of a translation
This article considers the development of N. O. Lossky’s concept of intuitivism in the context of the translation of Kant’s works and revision of Kant’s epistemology. The development of Lossky as an independent philosopher required overcoming Kant’s scepticism, which was not consistent with the ideal-realist’s belief in the cognoscibility of transsubjective world given us in the original. The means necessary to overcome it determined the key characteristics of the new system of intuitivism, which...
Kant, Gödel, and the problem of synthetic a priori judgements
Debates over Kant’s famous postulate about the existence of synthetic a priori judgements in mathematics, formulated in the Critique of Pure Reason, have been raging for over two centuries. On the one hand, it was fiercely criticised by neo-positivists in the early 20th century. On the other hand, Kant’s ideas on constructive nature of mathematics served as a philosophical framework for LEJ Brouwer’s programme of intuitionism in the foundations of mathematics. Of interest are the ideas of the great...

Speech aggression as a means of preserving and promoting the Neo-pagan worldview: the case of Rodnoverie
The role of verbal aggression in the promotion of specific value-regulatory systems, particularly those of a religious nature, has not been extensively explored in contemporary scholarship. This study aims to investigate the mechanisms by which verbal aggression is produced and employed as a means of preserving and advancing the Rodnoverie ideology within the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet. To achieve this, a comprehensive methodology is employed, incorporating both functional-semantic...

The genitive of quality as used in typological characterisation of a person
This paper describes the syntactic model termed as the adnominal genitive of quality, as well as its use in the archetypisation of a person. It is argued that the semantics of a noun functioning as an adnominal attribute produces two types of cultural-linguistic archetypes. An attribute noun referring to a sphere of moral or behavioural characteristics (‘человек слова’, ‘man of success’, ‘człowiek honoru’) is associated with the model of the ethnocultural archetype; a meaning relating to a period...

The legal regime of information systems in Russian agriculture
In this article, I consider the development and use of information systems in the case of Russia’s agricultural industry. I compare the information system with information and the information infrastructure and show that agriculture lacks a single information infrastructure. Further, I review existing classifications of information systems and the types of information provisions using such systems. I consider national and municipal information system as a means to provide state and municipal services...
GMOs in agriculture: legal regulation and discussion
The article analyses legal arguments for admissibility/inadmissibility of GMOs in agriculture. The authors show that there is still no unanimous opinion of the effects produced by GMOs. Given the uncertainty, the ban on the use of genetic engineering in agriculture leads to the weakening of the role of legislation as a regulator of public relations. The authors suggest legal solutions to this problem striking a reasonable balance between the interests of business, society and state.

The role of logic and the study of rationality within N. O. Lossky’s ideal-realistic concept
This article focuses on the specific features of N. O. Lossky’s interpretation of certain logical themes. The author shows that it is determined by the ideal-realistic position of the thinker. “Intuitionistic” logic is presented as a philosophical interpretation of traditional logic in the framework of ideal-realistic teaching. N. O. Lossky relates the rationality of thinking to logic. The article reconstructs certain features of rationality in N. O. Lossky’s philosophical-logical concept.

The Ethics of the Categorical Imperative. Lossky under the Influence of Kant
The Russian intuitivist philosopher Nikolay Lossky repeatedly admitted Kant’s substantial formative influence on him as a scholar. Moreover, Lossky was a disciple of the Russian Kantian Aleksander Vvedensky, and was one of the most successful translators of the first Critique. However, his own philosophical project is rather the opposite of the critical programme. While in the framework of Lossky’s epistemology the specificities of his reading of Kant have received a fair amount of attention in Russian...
