Временное и вечное в художественном образе крестного хода: «Борис Годунов» А. С. Пушкина и «Лето Господне» И. С. Шмелева

Аннотация

Исследуются особенности художественного преломления категорий времени и вечности в исторической драме А. С. Пушкина «Борис Годунов» и романе И. С. Шме­лева «Лето Господне» на примере художественного образа крестного хода. Утвержда­ется наличие глубинной содержательной общности художественных образов двух про­изведений, в основе которой лежит понимание крестного хода как явления вечности в хронотопе земной, физической реальности. Демонстрируется, что несмотря на един­ство внутренней темпоральной природы, художественные образы «Бориса Годунова» и «Лета Господня» различны как с точки зрения причинной обусловленности крестного хода (церковно-государственного в пушкинской драме и церковно-народного в романе И. С. Шмелева), так и по степени детализации художественного образа: «свернутая», «сценарно» сжатая в «Борисе Годунове» картина крестного хода в «Лете Господнем» развертывается, открывая индивидуально-личные, семейные, народные грани осмысля­емого явления.

Abstract

This article considers the depiction of the church procession to examine the literary inter­pretation of time and eternity in Alexander Pushkin’s historical drama Boris Godunov and Ivan Shmeleff’s novel The Year of the Lord. The two texts share fundamental similarities in literary images. The church procession is portrayed as a manifestation of eternity in the tan­gible reality of this world. Despite their common temporal nature, images in Boris Godunov and The Year of the Lord differ in terms of both motivation (state-driven in Pushkin’s dra­ma and public-driven in Shmeleff’s novel) and the degree of detail. The description is con­densed and script-driven in Boris Godunov, whereas the church procession in The Year of the Lord unfolds before the reader to reveal personal, family-related, and public aspects of the phenomenon.
