.... This work takes into account the current priority of the European Union — the innovation and development of socioeconomic activities in order to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of European regions.
This study sets out to evaluate the competitiveness of Latvian region using the method developed by the European Commission and identify the priority areas and instruments for their innovative development with the help of an expert survey based on the analytic hierarchy process.
