The author analyses the history of anagrams in the European baroque culture of the 17th century, shows a rich diversity of literary genres where anagrams are used, and identifies the main trends and techniques of creating anagrams. The article outlines the scope of problems for a future study of anagrams in different areas of contemporary European culture.

The author analyses the main characteristics of legal discourse and its relatedness to the system of values of any given society, its political, religious and economic spheres. Legal discourse reflects historical and cultural conditionality. Conceptual opposition Soul-Body in N. Kononov's "Eugenia’s Genius": levels of explicit and implicit semantics

Abstract

The author explores the conceptual opposition Soul-Body in N. Kononov's story «Eugenia’s Genius". The opposite members of the dichotomy Soul-Body have different forms of linguistic representation. The concept Body is expressed explicitly, whereas Soul is often implicit. Being related to each other, they form an inseparable binom as opposite parts of one whole.

Ideology of Armenian and Russian Orthodoxy in the mirror of ritual objects: khachkars and wayside crosses

Abstract

The authors describe the main ideas and specific features of the Armenian and Russian Orthodoxy based on the analysis of Orthodox religious rituals and religious objects used in them. The authors reveal deep cognitive functions that these religious objects enable, first of all, the creation of a sacred milieu, unification of the Orthodox believer with God, and the formation of Orthodox memory. At the same time, it is noted that the Armenian khachkars are closer to pagan cultures in comparison with wayside crosses of the Eastern Slavs; the fact that can be conditioned by the cultural history of these peoples.

All these phenomena and processes are examined from the point of view of a system of synergies. The history of the myth of L. P. Karsavin’s conversion to Catholicism

Abstract

There numerous publication on the conversion of the Russian scientist and religious philosopher Lev Karsavin to Catholicism. Meanwhile, the juxtaposition of the memories of those who witnessed the last years of Karsavin's life as well as many other documents of that time make it possible to assert that his conversion to another faith is only a myth created by enthusiastic zealots of Catholicism, since it contradicts the dying philosopher’s testimony.
