The revision of avifauna in the south-eastern Baltic (within the borders of the Kaliningrad region)
This article compares the structure of avifauna within the present-day borders of the Kaliningrad region over the period from the end of 19th century to 2010. The author argues that the species turnover in nesting birds has accelerated and that immigration exceeds local mortality.
