Non-translation and translation in Heidegger, Losev, and Ortega y Gasset
... Heidegger employ the technique of retrospective translation, which involves etymologizing or contextualizing texts that are older than the translated text. Etymologization (alongside commentary) is seen as a way to transfer ideas into a different cultural system, and Ortega y Gasset refers to humans as “etymological animals”. In Losev's interpretive translation, foreign translations or translations into other languages are viewed as interpretations and become objects of study. While Heidegger repeatedly ...

The principle of aberrant text production helps the author stage the process of sense formation and brings to the fore the concept of hierarchical rule destruction, which applies to language, society, and reality. By deconstructing syntax and orthography, Jirgl’s system of language and script generates new senses. Narrative staging of Jirgl’s texts is performed to identify the main problems that ...
Duty and Coercion in Kant’s Republican Cosmopolitanism

First, I claim that Kant attributes a systematic role to the cosmopolitan right, what justifies considering this part of the doctrine of law as a necessary rational conclusion of the legal system, although its institutional embodiment differs from that required by the rights of states.
