Mathematical model of transportation of relativistic electronic beams. Analogy to the equations of gas dynamics
Analytical comparison of hyperbolic system consists of four equations for moments of the distribution function of relativistic electron beam (REB), the modeling transportation processes in the gas environment and the equations of gas dynamics of ideal polytropic gas was carried out. The found analogy between these models allowed to specify mathematical ...
Portfolio optimization in the case of an exponential utility function and in the presence of an illiquid asset
We study an optimization problem for a portfolio with a risk-free, a liquid, and an illiquid risky asset. The illiquid risky asset is sold in an exogenous random moment with a prescribed liquidation time distribution. We assume that the investor chooses an exponential utility function. Study of optimization problems with three assets including an illiquid asset leads to three-dimensional nonlinear Hamilton — Jacobi — Bellman (HJB) equations.
It is well known that the exponential utility function is connected with ...
Spatial structure and development of settlements in the Saint Petersburg agglomeration
... development hotspots. FTS data on property tax base are the main source of relevant information. FTS reports contain data on the number of residential buildings and units covered by the database. Further, FTS statistics is employed to trace income and job distribution across the study area. The current functions of settlement in the Saint Petersburg agglomeration have been determined. According to the findings, the spatial structure of the agglomeration has three groups of ‘backbone centres’. The agglomeration includes a core, a population growth ...
The methodological aspects of development of object-functional approach to the regional development management
This article considers the main aspects of the methodology of formation of object-functional approach to regional development, which makes it possible, due to taking into account the patterns of regional function distribution, to choose strategic regional objects and ensure their interaction on the basis of incentives for economic agents.

Key factors of the spatial organisation of small businesses
This article describes the conditions, resources, and prerequisites necessary for the efficient functioning of small businesses. Based on the theoretical propositions and practical results of productive forces distribution, the authors identify groups of factors of spatial organization of small businesses: national and supranational level, regional level, location, and the entrepreneur. A sequential analysis of the main factors of the small business deployment ...
Ontogenetic Dynamics of Hydrocortisone Quantitative Content of the Common Octopus Octopus vulgaris, Lamark (Cephalopoda: Octopodidae)
The article describes the quantitative content dynamics of the hydrocortisone steroid hormone in different organs and tissues in the course of the common octopus ontogenesis. The author detects general patterns of its quantitative distribution in the octopus organism and formulates a hypothesis on the functional significance of hydrocortisone in the examined tissues of mollusks.
Hydrocortisone level is one of the most important organizers of general adaptation syndrome in the organisms of vertebrates under different forms of stress. It may be also ...

Modeling of H Thermal Ions Measurements onboard Charged Satellite Taking into Account Anisotropy of Temperature
... mass-spectrometer model of thermal ionospheric ions measurements was considered in case of charged satellite. Hyperboloid device characteristics onboard Interball-2 satellite was used for mathematical model of measurements. It was shown that angular ion distribution function changed due to temperature anisotropy and it can be interprets by different ways. Positive satellite potential increases these effects.

Protection of steel from corrosion and hydrogen absorption by organic inhibitors: experimental and quantum-chemical studies
... step-strip anodic dissolution technique was used to obtain concentration profiles of cathodic evolved H2 across the depth of Cr-Ni1810 steel under corrosion in water-salt media in the presence of SRB. The proposed approximation of the experimentally obtained distribution of hydrogen along the depth of steel by means of standard Gaussian function made it possible to establish the integral hydrogen content of the sub-layer (up to 80 μm) with high degree of accuracy. The efficiency of protective actions of the studied organic compounds against corrosion and hydrogen absorption by steel ...
