Russian Exclave on the Baltic Sea: Evolution of Exclavity and Ways to Overcome It
The author considers peculiarities of the emergence and evolution of exclavity of the Kaliningrad region. The article analyses the influence of exclavity on the connections of the region with the Russian mainland, its economic development, exclave administration, and Kaliningrad identity and examines the ways the existing disadvantages can be overcome. Methods of overcoming these disadvantages are suggested in the article.

Intensification of Russian role in trans-border cooperation in the Baltic Sea region
Cross-border cooperation between administrative and municipal districts enlarges fast in the Baltic Sea macroregion. Intensification of Russian regions’ participation in such cooperation as well as formation of trans-border socio-economic systems may shift their development to the innovative type.
Geomorphological study of the submerged relief in the Russian sector of the south-eastern Baltic
A retrospective review of previously obtained results of regional geomorphological studies, their chronological systematization, highlighting the main results and the nature of research at every stage of study can serve a good introduction to this field of science. The article focuses on the papers of the late 19th century on geological-geomorphological and eco-landscape studies of the Russian sector of the southeastern part of the Baltic Sea. The chronological stages of research development are identified and characterized.
