On the need for informatisation of physical education process
This article describes the factors affecting the need for informatization of physical education of schoolchildren. The analysis was conducted on the basis of surveys of sports teachers. The author identifies professional areas, in which information and communications technologies (ICT) are applied. It is established that the intensity of ICT introduction into teaching sports depends on the level of computer literacy of teachers, the availability of high-quality electronic didactic materials, and the development of methodological approaches to ICT introduction into physical education.
