Experiences in translation: the text as a pattern, the pattern as a text
... pattern as a text-generating mechanism is determined by the fact that the pattern problematizes the relationship between repetition and variation, singular and plural, a norm and a deviation. A text has a pattern nature if its basic pattern does not coincide with its textual realizations, provided the latter are very similar at the prototype or model level. Therefore, the relationship between the pattern and a resultant text is isomorphic to the relationship between language and speech. Our analysis ...
Plekhanov as “Defender” of Kant from Neo-Kantians
... Neo-Kantianism and sought to dissociate it from and oppose it to Kant’s legacy. A prominent place among the latter was occupied by Georgy V. Plekhanov, most of whose works were fiercely polemical. Highly rating Kant’s works, in which he even found some coincidences with materialism, Plekhanov for a number of years engaged in polemics on philosophical and political issues with the German Neo-Kantians and Eduard Bernstein, who shared many of their views. Calling Neo-Kantianism, after Friedrich Engels,...
Constructive Thinking in the Critical Philosophy of Hermann Cohen
... reality contains thinking and being simultaneously as a union and in a divided form. The infinitesimal method is thinking that continuously carries out a) the operations of opposing itself as pure thinking to the results of its own production; b) the coincidence of itself with the products of its own generation. Infinitesimal thinking seeks to eliminate the difference between self and being. Nevertheless, being constantly retains autonomy. Being does not merge with thinking and is not absorbed by ...
The Paradox of Kant’s Transcendental Subject in German Philosophy in the Late Eighteenth Century
..., G. E. Schulze and A. Weishaupt. The authors of the period are grouped depending on the common themes and questions that prompted them to turn to the concept of the transcendental subject, even though the results of their reflections did not always coincide. These authors think of the transcendental subject in its relationship to the transcendental object, or as “something = х”, and in terms of the relationship of representation to the object. It is characterised sometimes as something absolutely ...
The antinomy of political reason. Some deliberations on Kant’s “Answer-ing the Question: What is Enlightenment?”
... revolution. The reconstruction of Kant’s position is followed by a discussion of possible theoretical problems relating to the implementation of this project. It isstressed that the project can function only when the interests of government and citizen coincides. Russian history is addressed to illustrate that even “common interests” of the ruler and the citizen leave room for a conflict between them. The author analyses Kant’s paradox stating an inversely proportional connection between the level ...
On the problem of acausal semantic coincidences: the cognitive background of omens
The authors study the issue of acausal semantic coincidences (synchronicity) for the first time as omens of war in the Russian linguocultural tradition. The semiotic structure of omens is shown, and models of transformations of situational semantics in their signifier and signified are revealed....
The terms «clinical recommendations», «clinical guidelines», «diagnostic and treatment protocol»: a comparative analysis of definitions
... definitions of the three main types of documents — recommendations, guidelines and protocol — showed that these terms can not be called either synonyms or quasi-synonyms, since they are characterized by belonging to the same part of speech, partial coincidence of valency, but do not match in their interpretation. These terms can be used in different conditions: recommendations — in case of dispositive use, guidelines — in the case of imperative compliance with the rules for using the document,...
Some features of love and amorousness concepts in religious youth
... believing respondents — members of the Protestant community. In the basis of the differences in the concept of love, respondents have followed the categories of "sacrifice", "god", "negative consequences". The hierarchy of coinciding categories in the respondents' views has reflected differences in two samples. The category of "physical intimacy" has been identified as the background for the differences in the notion of falling in love. The nonbelieving respondents ...
Semantic invariants of prophetic dreams and signs
... stay with the other side of the language, belong to the deep sphere of human mentality (unconscious), have a special sign nature (they are both semantic signs and images). From this point of view, the problem of synchronicity — acausal semantic coincidences, is considered. The article suggests that the domain of semantic invariants of dreams will be close to quantum reality, which is of particular interest to researchers today.

The role of endogenous factor in increase of ocean level for the last 140 years
... cycles and major earthquakes in oceanic regions. It was shown that it is possible to estimate the area and amplitude of the seafloor submergence in the epicenter in relation to changes in water volume. Short-term cycles of sea level fluctuations usually coincide with changes in surface layer temperatures in middle latitudes, which could be regarded as a precursor of anomalous climatic conditions in the Northern hemisphere.
