Deformations of the marinve coastline of the Curonian spit (South-Eastern Baltic Sea) during autumn-winter season of 2018—2019
... of the coast (the foredune retreated from 1 to 4.7 m), as well as in the root section, where the foredune broke through and the adjacent territory was flooded. The zone between these parts of the spit proved to be relatively stable for 20 km. The values of the storm deformation of the coast and the morphometric characteristics of the beach were found to correlate. The largest erosion is seen with areas with the minimum height and width of the beach: 0.3—1 m in height and 3—17 m in width ...

Reactions of dibenzothiazine amination of quinone derivatives on a «copper film»
Interest in nitrogen-containing heterocycles can be brought about by the possibility of obtaining organic compounds with new properties by introducing various substituents into the structure. The aim of this work is to aminate quinoid structures with dibenzothiazine to produce condensed heterocycles with a bridged nitrogen atom. It is the N-substituted derivatives that form a bridge between the dibenzothiazine molecule and the substituent that are considered as the most promising substances. When...
Diagnostic criteria for splenomegaly (review)
... note relationship between the size and volume of the spleen with the height of patients and the lack of connection with the patient’s weight and body mass index. Historically, there is a transition from strict criteria for splenomegaly (a certain value of the length, volume of an organ, the area of its transverse section) to formulas that take into account the anthropometric characteristics of patients (gender, height).
Analysis methodology for the relationship between the water flow and river levels by determining the dependence
... characteristics which are found to be in a close stochastic connection. Linear regression equations connect the average monthly discharges and water levels in the rivers under study. They also provide for the graphs of the relationship between the considered values, and the boundaries of their confidence intervals were calculated and constructed. From these dependences, it is possible to determine the average monthly discharge or water levels in the studied rivers, owning only one set of characteristics....

An assessment of drought conditions in Ukraine in the end of the 20th the beginning of the 21st centuries
The drought conditions in the 1995—2012 vegetation period in Ukraine are estimated using the fields of Selyaninov hydrothermal coefficient (SHC). The analog method helps identify the most probable seasonal and monthly SHC fields. The lowest SHC values are observed in the steppe regions and Crimea. Frequency of drought months reaches 60—70 % in the southern regions. The most severe seasonal droughts occurred in 2007 and 2009 with a spread area of over 35 % of the country’s territory.

The preservation of rare plant species in and in vitro genetic collection
Alongside the traditional ex situ plant conservation methods, the creation of gene banks in vitro is increasing in importance. The research and methodological framework for the creation and conservation of rare and valuable plant seed and meristem gene banks is being developed. In the creation of gene banks, special attention is paid to plant species representativeness and genetic stability preservation. Most of the plant material is stored in conditions of decelerated growth.
