On the discovery of rare and extinct plant species in the Kaliningrad region
This article focuses on the history of some rare species in the Kaliningrad region. The authors provide information on new locations of the species’ occurrence in the Kaliningrad region. The article contains a schematic map of new discoveries of rare and extinct species in the Kaliningrad region. A geobotanical analysis of the mentioned biotopes is conducted. The authors present preliminary qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the cenopopulations of these species.

Alongside the traditional ex situ plant conservation methods, the creation of gene banks in vitro is increasing in importance. The research and methodological framework for the creation and conservation of rare and valuable plant seed and meristem gene banks is being developed. In the creation of gene banks, special attention is paid to plant species representativeness and genetic stability preservation. The estimation of petrochemical wastewater toxicity

The antioxidant status of plants in the conditions of urban cadmium pollution
This article analyses the level of antioxidants (water-soluble antioxidants, carotenoids, and anthocyanins) in plants under the conditions of environmental cadmium pollution. The ecological and biological characteristics of plants in the course of forcing
This article analyses the storage conditions for hybrid lily bulbs in the course of forcing. The authors come to the conclusion that taller plants are obtained after a three week storage at a constant low temperature. The time span between planting and flowering is 60—75 days. СA comparative analysis of bioflavonoid accumulation by Trifolium pratense in the Kaliningrad region
This article examines the influence of environmental factors on the polyphenol accumulation of the red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) in the coastal and continental areas of the Kaliningrad region. The influence of temperature, light, and mineral nutrition factors on the accumulation activity of anthocyanins, leucoanthocyanidins, and catechins is determined. The coastal and continental area plants did not show any significant differences in the content of the examined polyphenol classes.

A study of the statistic properties of the distribution of thermokarst lakes in the West Siberian cryolithic zone on the basis of satellite images
The location of thermokarst lakes on the research territory in the permafrost zone of Western Siberia is identified with the use of satellite images.
