Трансграничная корпоративная интеграция в Балтийском регионе

Аннотация

Исследуются взаимные потоки прямых иностранных инвестиций в Балтийском регионе. Показаны тесные инвестиционные связи между членами ЕС, особенно важные для Эстонии, Латвии и Литвы. Трансграничная корпоративная интеграция в регионе характеризуется существенными дисбалансами. Во многих отношениях она может рассматриваться как шведская экспансия или расширение домашних рынков для североевропейских компаний. Хотя многие германские, польские и российские компании также активно участвуют в корпоративной интеграции в Балтийском регионе, другие векторы внешнеэкономических связей обычно оказываются для них важнее. В результате, несмотря на крупные российские прямые инвестиции в трех странах Балтии, реальная интеграция российского бизнеса в Балтийской части европейского интеграционного пространства все еще слаба.


The author investigates mutual flows of foreign direct investment within the Baltic Region. The article emphasises close investment ties between the EU members, which are of special importance for Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. However, transborder corporate integration in the region has significant imbalances. In many aspects, it can be interpreted as Swedish expansion or home markets development for Northern European companies. Although many German, Polish and Russian companies also take part in corporate integration in the Baltic Region, the other vectors of their foreign economic relations are usually more important. As a result, despite significant Russian direct investments in the three Baltic States, the actual integration of Russian business into the Baltic part of the European integration area  is still rather weak.
