Аннотация
Исследована роль интонационных средств в выражении категорий «данности» и «новизны» в английском, русском и испанском языках. Представлены результаты фонетического эксперимента по изучению различий в функциональной нагрузке интонационного центра высказывания для выделения новой информации в трех языках.
The article explores the intonation means of expressing the "given" and the "new" in English, Russian and Spanish. It represents the results of phonetic research proving the difference in the nucleus’s role when signaling the new information in three languages.
