Abstract
This article considers, as prerequisites for the development of pedagogical competence of the agents of physical training at higher education institutions, the research and information needs of these agents such as the general situation, psychological atmosphere among the personnel, satisfaction with the predominant type of activity and the “background” factors affecting their formation: the material and technical improvement of
educational process, the need and motivation-related sphere of agent’s personality, and prolonged professional selection. The research is based on the data of a survey among the agents of physical training at the Belarusian State University of Physical Training.
