Abstract
The paper considers the features of the application of 5G technology in the electric power complex — in automated systems of distribution networks, relay protection and monitoring systems. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the problems arising in this case in technical standards, network security issues, ensuring the necessary coverage areas. The prospects of integration of 5G technology and power distribution networks are analyzed.
