Abstract
The paper analyzes the problems associated with the provision of stable mobile radio communication in remote settlements located on the Baltic Sea coast. On the example of the urban - type settlement of Yantarny, the expediency of implementing fifth-generation networks-5G-is justified. On the basis of accounting for the physical processes of radio wave propagation of the corresponding frequency ranges, taking into account the density of buildings and terrain, calculations of the zones of confident radio reception in the study area were performed, the optimal location of cellular base stations was determined, and the choice of equipment was justified.
