On the Western border of the Zedmar culture

Abstract

This article presents the Neolithic materials from the settlements on the northeastern coast of the Vistula Lagoon. The settlements were populated by tribes of the Primorskaya Corded Ware Culture. It does not exclude that their predecessors could have lived on the territory in the early and middle Neolithic. Although the antiquities described below are not numerous, they represent a rare case of a coastal zone populated by groups, which have been traditionally associated with the inland territories of the Baltic.

Redeployment of the 3rd Belorussian front troops on the eve of the Samland Offensive of 1945

Abstract

This article describes the final stage of the East-Prussian Offensive of 1945. Particular attention is paid to the problem of redeployment of the 3rd Belorussian Front forces to create the necessary conditions for defeating the enemy during the Battle of Königsberg and the follow-on front mission on the Samland peninsula.

On demographic development trends in the Kaliningrad region during Perestroika

Abstract

This article focuses on the characteristics of demographic development of the Kaliningrad region during the reform, crisis, and collapse of the Soviet administrative and political system. Priority attention is given to changes in the population reproduction model. It is concluded that the main trends in the regional population development were similar to the national ones, at the same time retaining the regional age.

This article presents a case of developing a balanced performance scorecard for a Kaliningrad trading company. A general solution includes five stages: analysing economic performance, studying dependencies between performance indicators, building strategic map charts, identifying goals and planning relevant measures, and assessing the efficiency of such measures.

Changes in prices for basic consumer basket goods: The case of the Kaliningrad region

Abstract

This article presents the results of a study into changes in prices for goods constituting the minimum consumer basket. The analysis uses the indicative method based on studying variations in the chain growth rate of prices, trends method, and time series variation. The calculations made it possible to describe changes in prices for staple food in the Kaliningrad region over the past ten years.

This article deals with the possible areas of cross-border cooperation between Russian and Belarussian regions. The author identifies the main results of cooperation between the countries in trade, transport, science, and social relations.
