Formation of the future teachers’ readiness to form social interaction abilities in preschool children

Abstract

The article describes an authentic model of the formation of future teachers’ readiness to facilitate the development of social interaction skills in preschool children. The proposed model meets the requirements of the current standards of professional education. The author describes the essence of the model focused on a set of measurable learning outcomes formulated in line with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education, the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education and the Professional Standard of Preschool Education.

Metasubjet approach in junior high school

Abstract

The article describes the main characteristics of the metasubject approach as a methodological basis of achieving metasubject results in education. There are several ways of realization of the metasubject approach in junior high school — the introduction of metasubjects, inclusion of a metasubject theme in the substantive theme of a lesson within traditional school disciplines, the use of modern education technologies based on the system-activity approach, interdisciplinary and the development and implementation of extrasubject programmes.

Modern approaches to university physical education: the experience of incorporating a fitness programme in the curriculum

Abstract

The article explores new approaches to physical education in university. One of the ways to ensure modernization of physical education is the incorporation of various fitness programmes in the elective part of the curriculum. The author describes the impact of fitness programmes on learning outcomes and characterizes them as a form of activity. The article examines the experience of introducing Zumba® Fitness international dance fitness programme to the elective part of the "Physical education" curriculum for the first, second and third year students of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.

Personality in a multicultural world

Abstract

The article considers problems faced by the individual as the bearer of social and cultural patterns. The article focusses on the issues of the conscious formation of tolerance and interconnections between understanding and the individual’s adaptation to reality. General knowledge, reflection, the extension of meaning, self-esteem, a system of values, logic and cognition form the basis of understanding. The author analyses the concept of multicultural identity and explores the problems of non-conflict integration of the personality in the multicultural world.

Project-based learning as a means of developing cognitive abilities of exchange medical students

Abstract

The article presents the authors ' experience in the development and implementation of design methods to the development of cognitive abilities among foreign medical students. The main idea of the authors consists in the possibility and the need to develop foreign language students ' abilities to cognitive, emotional-evaluative and transformative activities in the learning process of Rus-skomu as a foreign language materials on the medical theme- Tiki. Deals with practical aspects of independent design activities of students. Shown educational technology, design method, techniques and methods of cognitive development SPO-the ability aimed at obtaining practical results. Describes the types of activities teachers and foreign language students as participants in design work. It is shown how the correction of the level of speech and language competence can contribute to the development of the foundations of clinical thinking.

Psychological aspects of security rituals in higher education institutions

Abstract

The article describes the essence of security rituals typical of university environment. Being special patterns of behavior, safety rituals aim at ensuring control over certain factors, which are important to maintain security, integrity and ability to achieve a meaningful purpose of life. Other important aims of security rituals in educational environment are ensuring stability, neutralizing factors that may negatively affect it as well as increasing students’ self-esteem.

School conflict as a subject of historical and pedagogical research

Abstract

The paper analyses the problem of school conflicts and provides a theoretical substantiation of the possibility of their historical and pedagogical investigation in pedagogy. Using pedagogical writings of the early XX century, the authors explore the conceptual foundations of school conflicts and identify their essential features. Special attention is given to the philosophical conception of the conflict as a means of reflecting reality. The authors also study the linguistic concept of the term as a functional unit of language. In conclusion, the authors define avenues of further research into school conflicts.

The formation of critical thinking in foreing language learning

Abstract

The article describes a new coursebook designed for students studying Biotechnology. The new coursebook facilitates the formation and development of critical thinking skills in the process of foreign language learning. The formation of critical thinking is one of the main objectives of pedagogy since it ensures successful functioning of the individual in the modern information society.
