The article deals with the corpus of problems reflected in the first edition of Abel Matthieu’s «Devis de la langue francoyse» (1559). Author’s views on the actual for the French renaissance problems in linguistic tradition, such as the origin of language, it’s defense and illustration, interpretation of foreign texts are studied. The particular attention is paid to Abel Matthieu’s attempts to prove the self-sufficiency of French language.

The author considers the functioning of the term "dichotomy" in philoso-phy, logic and linguistics; analyzes the essence of the concept of "dichotomy" and its semantic relatedness to the concepts of "antinomy", "antonymy" and "binary opposition".

The data of empirical research of the borrowed sign evolution are ana-lyzed in the article. The study focuses on"creativity"as an Anglo-American borrowing. Reversive nature of semiotic process, typical for interpretation of borrowed words — from sign to it’s meaning, from signifiant to signifie is shown. Different ways of assimilation of "alien" cultural experience in the consciousness of a target language are described.

The article deals with the manifestation of the gender aspect in the auto-biography "Lebenserinnerungen" by the Austrian writer Bertha von Suttner (XIX-XX c. с.). The analysis is performed on the example of the lexical-semantic category "The Feminine" which is implemented in the text in reference to lexical-semantic subcategories in explicit and implicit ways. The main language markers of the lexical-semantic subcategory "I am a woman" representing the explicit way of realization of "The Feminine" are self-nominations indicating the female sex. The implicit way presented by four lexical-semantic subcategories is characterized by functioning words whose referential relationship to "The Feminine" is established on the basis of logical and associative connections.

The article describes the representation of the categorial and axiological com¬ponents of the concept ДОМ and HOME / HOUSE in advertising dis-course. The analysis is based on the examples of modern Russian and British advertise¬ments. The article points out a number of generic peculiarities of the explication of the concept caused by the characteristics of advertising dis-course.

Based on «VKontakte», «YouTube», «Facebook» social media services, this article considers the main features of the reciever as a structural element of the communicative interaction comparing to the standard media.

The article distinguishes the specificity of the renaming of different land forms. The renaming was carried out after the former East Prussia had become part of the Soviet Union. The article has a special focus on describing minor errors, comparison of the original oronyms with the new ones, and eliciting the ways of coordination between them.

This paper focuses on different theories proposed by German literary scholars currently addressing the concept of "memory", and reconsider the role of literature as a medium for keeping and transferring cultural legacy through space and time. It is discovered that literature-as-a-medium and memories are interconnected. It is also demonstrated how reading evokes spe-cific memories and forms a certain image of the past.

The analysis of R. L. Stevenson's story "Markheim" shows an essential role of Christmas motifs in the semantic space of the work. There are various forms of expressing this motif in the key moments of the plot. The value space of the main character is connected to the Christian values inherent in Christ-mas motifs, and the story line develops along the rules of a Christmas story.

The article highlights the role of music in the life and creative mind of Yaroslav Ivashkevich. The study involves previously unknown material of a book of the writer's memoirs published in 2010, and his essays that shed light on some episodes of his childhood and adolescence, his perception and evalua¬tion of the works of classical composers, as well as representatives of the contemporary musical culture.

The article considers artistic strategies of creating personal worlds of fic-tional chacracters in the works of Tatyana Tolstaya. These strategies include lingvopoetics of communication failures (“Peters”), “cinematic” lingvopoetics (“The River Okkervil”) lingvopoetics of insight (“Night”), lingvopoetics of deixis and the similarity (the novel “Light worlds”). The article analyses the way these strategies affect the formation of conceptual textual meanings.

The article focuses on the place and the role of non-formal educational practices in the development of adult education in Russia. Non-formal educa-tional practices are considered as a way of educational interaction, which has preserved the basic parameters of humanity. They are updated in periods of significant historical changes, as resource support for social reconstruction. Today, the practice of non-formal adult education is in demand primarily as a resource for development of human potential and it has a direct impact on the socio-economic development of the country.

The paper presents a new approach, which improves the quality of train-ing of specialists in information technologies by considering the dominant special abilities to different lines of activity. It includes the scheme of the edu-cational process in high school. Authors focus on student's inherent special abilities as the dominant ones for the educational process. The paper describes in detail the issues of formation of learning motivation based on the personal characteristics of the individual learners.

The article describes the results of empirical research of the system of ex-pectations that are associated with a person having a high level of competence in the prosocial cooperation. The method of structured interview followed by a content analysis of the 5 categories revealed the expectations of young people which are part of the preparedness for prosocial activity. The study presents the elements of technology aimed at expectations formation by enhancing global social identity, the prediction of personal and social development.
