The technology of students’ knowledge correction on the basis of pedagogical diagnostics

Abstract

This article is devoted to the little studied problem of correction of university students’ knowledge. The author describes the essence and features of knowledge correction in the educational process at university, its structural and conceptual models. The technology of students’ knowledge correction developed on the basis of this model is intrinsic to the technology of module education with the test/rating system if knowledge control and assessment. The article describes the content, diagnostic, and procedural components of the technology. An important element of the diagnostic component is correcting diagnostics, which does not have a control function. It is shown that that the technology has the following new features: systemic nature, complexity, conceptuality, developing character, strucuredness, hierarchy, logicality, variability and flexibility, procedurality, manageability, instrumentality, diagnosability, predictability.

The qualimetrics methodology of academic staff certification

Abstract

This article presents a methodology of academic staff certification based on the qualimetrics approach to the assessment of objects and phenomena that are hardly subject to algorithmisation. This approach is used to identify the quality levels as individual components of the performance and overall ranking of the academic staff. The methodology was developed in the course of a study carried out by the authors at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in the framework of the project “The development of an independent qualimetrics system of assessing academic achievements of students and evaluating the academic staff” (the project team included V. V. Nordin, A. V. Yurov, N. V. Belkina, and K. L. Polupan).

The teacher’s interest as a phenomenon and concept

Abstract

This article stresses that the teacher’s interest as a phenomenon is a unity of both the objective, which - being the meaningful component – serves as the focus of attention, and the subjective, which reveals the teacher’s motives for ducation and training activities. As a concept, the teacher’s interest registers their attitude to the important as the objective; at the same time, attitude generates individual, selective, and conscious connections between the teacher and the objective and is generalized in their motives and aims.

Schoolchildren’s health protection in the condition of inclusive education: The problems and the ways to solve them

Abstract

This article addresses the problems of health protection of schoolchildren with special needs in the conditions of inclusive education. The author considers the structure of social attitudes of teachers, students, parents, children with disabilities, and regular students to the teaching activities in the inclusive educational situation and its role in students’ health protection. The article emphasised the need to develop the concept and strategy for health protection of schoolchildren in the context of joint education of students with and without special needs and the features of students’ health protection.

The dynamics of youth behaviour in the field of healthy nutrition under the influence of mass media

Abstract

This article consdiers the problem of mass media influence on the process of health behavior development, in particular, in the field of nutrition. The authors address the possibilitues and features of mass media as a factor of health protection. The article presents the results of an experiment relating to the availability of health programmes on Russian television and the assessment of synamics of student behaviour in the field of healthy nutrition under the influence of various television programs.

Individual patterns of social contact network development in adolescents

Abstract

This article focuses on the interconnection between the individual and typological characteristics of an individual and the features of adolescent social contact networks. It is shown that adolescents with a high level of hostility, expressed perfectionist attitudes, low self-esteem, and insufficient perceived self-efficacy have smaller and poorly differentiated social contacts networks. These characteristics of social networks can subsequently lead to increased narcissistic tendencies in adolescents in isolation, as well as reduce their range of positive identifications and behavior role models.

On interdisciplinary connections in training specialists in theory of elasticity

Abstract

This article addresses the problem of training specialists in elasticity theory. The author suggests parallel studying of mathematics and mechanics, in particular, elasticity theory. The author considers the case of organizing training process for solving a two-dimensional problem of the theory through an inversed method. It is shown that the analysis of inversed problems of elasticity theory can contribute to the efficient solution of methodological issues of teaching mathematics and mechanics.

On the features and prospects of using interactive historical maps in the educational process

Abstract

This article is an attempt to analyse the information and didactic potential of interactive historical maps in the conditions of transition to the competence educational model. The possibilities of using traditional, electronic and interactive maps in the educational process are considered. The author formulates requirements for a training interactive map for different categories of students (in the framework of secondary and higher education). The article offers a short description of the experience of creating interactive cartographic resources at the I. Kant Baltic Federal University.

Abstract

Through the case of general educational institutions of the Kaliningrad region, the authors consider the methods for increasing the level of students’ preparation for the Unified State Examination in mathematics through using the system of distance learning for training and monitoring the level of preparation. The authors describe the approach, which makes it possible not only to present the content and function of computer-assisted testing, but also to provide teachers and authorities with a system of assessment and management of the preparation process on the basis of statistical report generation.

The professional athletes’ idea of family relations

Abstract

This article focuses on the features of professional athletes’ ideas of family relations. The authors analyse the relation structure, role distribution, ways of communication, and egocentrism tendencies in professional athletes’ families. The authors’ idea of the counselling process lies in addressing the features of athletes’ families with the help of the hardware methods of neuromodulation, projective techniques, and corporal therapy. The authors identify four areas of counselling and offer recommendations on using the “Family sociogramme” methodology” in working with athlete’s families.

Associative-semantic network principle of human mental thesaurus organization

Abstract

Present paper is an endeavor to analyze the outcomes of the celebrated experiment Violin, expressing the structure of associative-semantic links in human brain. Based upon evidence gained from objective neurophysiological methods, certain dictionary articles of the Associative Thesaurus of the Russian Language have thus been analyzed. A comparative analysis of behavioral experiments is offered based on which associative dictionaries have been compiled-alongside with objective experiments of the data of natural sciences. Concomitantly, the paper is an attempt to elicit distinctions between two types of experiments, as well as to install regularities of the organization of human mental thesaurus.

The article considers the distinctive features of technical training with apparatus in groups of initial rhythmic gymnastics training. These features include the characteristics of children’s’ training session organization and the requirements for the technical performance and training of students. The author comes to the conclusion that the availability of equipment and persistent mastering of new techniques is of great importance in working with children. In the conditions of the modern sociocultural reality, inclusive education is one of the most relevant forms of education for all children, including nontypical ones. This study aims at conducting a comparative analysis of the conceptual framework of the social and pedagogical determinants of inclusive education. The article describes the author’s understanding of the concept of non-typical children and compares different interpretations of key factors of inclusive education. The main pedagogical competences and central features of conductive influence necessary for successful development of inclusive educational strategies are identified.
