The tactics of appeal to happiness/regret as speech instruments for implementing the strategies of defining recipient’s emotional status

Abstract

This article deals with the ways of the strategies of defining recipient’s emotional status explication in the modern German poetry discourse. Especially we are concentrating on lexical tools of the tactics of appeal to happiness and tactics of appeal to regret. The examples of implementation of the strategy of defining recipient’s emotional status are poems, which are devoted to consideration of concept LOVE.

On the questions of correlation between semantic and social roles of adverbal actants

Abstract

The article is devoted to analysing possible filling of the semantic valence of a verb by the participants of a situation (actants) performng various roles. The problem of the semantic and social role correlation is the focus of our attention.Moreover, the principles of marking semantic cases are considered; role and non-role actions are described; shortcomings of the role nomenclature are specified.

The letter to itself: about communications problem in a picture of the world of N. Kononova (on a story example «The Amnesia Anastass»)

Abstract

In the article the phenomenon «Another I» of the hero on a story material «the Amnesia Anastasia» is analyzed by N. Kononov. In work the letter as the basic way of communications of the hero with the imagined addressee is considered, and existence of the alternative person of the hero contacts special unsteadiness, instability and step-type behaviour of the art world of the given author.

The distinguishing characteristics of the existential LONELINESS verbal implementation in the authorial narrative discourse of F. Kafka

Abstract

This article is devoted to considering the key notions of existential philosophy such as “existential intent” and “existential”. Scientific credence is given to their relevance to linguistic researches and correlation with the basic notions of cognitive linguistics. More specifically, this article exposes the kernel and the peripheral concepts of the existential LONELINESS. It also reveals the analysis of their representation peculiarities in the nonfictional and the fictional discourse of F. Kafka.

Language specificity of the texts of political speeches of Angela Merkel

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of discourse, its special form political discourse, the verbal behavior of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, especially her ability to put into practice different speechmeans in political communications. It focuses on the analysis of the linguistic-stylistic and pragmalinguistic resources realized in the texts of her political speeches. In this article is discovered a new tactic called "tactic of pickup statements minded / opponents."

The Theory of the Inner Form of the Word in the Semantic Research of A. A. Potebnja and W. von Humboldt

Abstract

The article analyzes the influence of works by A. Potebnja and W. von Humboldt on the development of modern linguistic theory of the inner form of the word which became the basis for numerous modern studies in the spheres of semantics dealing with the issues of contextual meaning. The main foundations of the mentioned-above theory are being examined as well as the ways of creating the inner form of the word in a language and the causes of its loss are being explored with the help of practical examples.
