Setting up specially protected natural areas of local significance in Kaliningrad: problems and solutions
... area of local importance. It is shown that the territory of the indicated forest park zone meets the main criteria for designating a specially protected natural area of local importance. Given the urban environment, the territory has a high level of biological diversity, including regionally rare species; within the boundaries of the study area there are unique natural complexes and objects. This is a promising territory to carry out scientific research, environmental educational activities, ecological touristic ...

The lichens and lichenicolous fungi of the north-western part of the Krasnoznamensky District of the Kaliningrad Region
This article is dedicated to the study of lichen biota as part of the research and conservation of biodiversity in the Kaliningrad region. Biological studies of little-known territories are a crucial component of the ecologically oriented development of the Kaliningrad region, especially for areas with heavily transformed landscapes. Expanding the understanding of the diversity and distribution of lichens plays an important role in nature conservation and supporting the biodiversity of the Kaliningrad region. The aim of the study was to examine the lichen biota of the northwestern part of the Krasnoznamensk municipal ...
Classification and characterisation of a new antimicrobial peptide
In recent years, significant progress has been achieved in AMP research, revealing the potential of these compounds as alternatives to traditional antibiotics. Due to the diverse mechanisms of action and a wide range of antibacterial activity, AMP provides new opportunities for preventing and treating multidrug-resistant infections by creating foods with antimicrobial properties, new antimicrobial biologically active additives and medicines.
This study aimed to create, characterise and classify a new AMP. The DRAMP proteomic database was used to design the AMP, and the Peptide Ranker was utilised to predict biological activity (http://distilldeep....
