Variability of climatic characteristics оver the South-East Baltic coastal waters in the early XXI century
... features of hydrometeorological conditions in the southeastern Baltic Sea and their trends assessment for 2005—2019 (climatic half period). The authors used the data from field observations of atmospheric pressure, wind direction and speed, and air temperature from the automatic hydrometeorological station located offshore, as well as the satellite data from the infrared and microwave (radar images) ranges to determine sea ice and sea surface temperature, respectively. The research also reveals ...
Climate change in the mountainous regions of the Republic of Tyva: The case of the Bay-Tayginsk district
The most considerable increase in the temperature of soil surface was observed in the cold period (1,5 °С, a 53,9% rise in temperature), the smallest in August (0,3 °С, 2,1 %), whereas, in May-June, the increase was negative (–1,3 °С, 27,1 %). Major increases in air temperature take ...
Chlorophyll «a» concentration in the South-Eastern Baltic Sea in summer 2018 (on satellite data)
... summer 2018. The data of the MODIS radiometer installed on Aqua and Terra satellites were used for the analysis. The average concentration of chlorophyll "a" in the warm period of 2018 (May-August) was 3.8 mg/m3 while the average sea surface temperature was 17.7° С. The Maximum concentration of chlorophyll "a" (8.1 mg/m3) was recorded in May. However, the most massive development of phytoplankton occurred in July — the average monthly concentration of chlorophyll "a" ...
The dynamics of air temperature extrema as an indicator of climate warming in the Central Tuvan basin of the Tyva Republic
Climate warming results in an increase of air temperatures extrema. The dynamics of anomalies in air temperature absolute maxima are described through unusual biquadrate polynomials. The minimum peak was observed in 1989—1992, afterwards a steep increase followed. The authors examine the possibility ...
The characteristics of the energy spectrum of mixture ratio and air temperature in the troposphere of the Antarctic
This article analyses the characteristics of the energy spectrum of mixture ratio and air temperature in the troposphere of the Antarctic obtained by Fourier analysis. Selected peaks of spectral density of mixing ratio and air temperature monthly averages are interpreted as annual and semi-annual fluctuations. The spectral density of random ...
About a role of vegetation of deserts of Central Asia in climate change
This article focuses on the temperature of various underlying surfaces (rubble-rock on hamadas, sand on the beds of temporary streams, plants) in the southern steppes of Mongolia. The authors present a comparative analysis of soil and plant temperature and address the issue of the ...
New data on air and soil temperature in vegetation communities of the Karakum Desert
This article offers data on the temperature of surface air and soils in the aeration zone. The author comes to the conclusion that the soil temperature in the Karakum desert is favourable for the development of tree and shrubbery species.

Sea surface temperature determination in the North Atlantic based on planktonic foraminifera with the help of diverse biometric methods
This article presents the results of the reconstruction of surface temperature above the northeast part of the Iceland basin (Northeast Atlantic) for the last 300,000 years with help of the M. S. Barash method, as well as the RAM, MAT and TFT methods on the basis of the planktonic foraminifera data. The M. S. Barash ...
Long-term forecast of water surface temperature in the southeastern part of the Pacific Ocean
The article examines the results of use of the physical-statistical method for the forecast of seasonal trend of the sea surface temperature (SST) with the lead time of 8 months and results of statistical method of SST superlong-term forecast, lead time — 1 year. In the first case mean-squared prediction error of SST according to independent data makes 0,5 оС, in the second ...
The ontogenesis of Mysidacea Neomysis integer Leach, 1815 dependent on the water temperature in the Vistula Lagoon of the Baltic Sea
This article considers the impact of water temperature in the Vistula Lagoon of the Baltic Sea on Mysidacea ontogenesis, as well as their maturity rate, female fertility, reproductionrate and average energy cost of reproduction.

Shifts of adulterations as the result of seasonal horizontal convection under the shelf plate (numerical modeling)
... variations which delays an establishing of a seasonal water-exchange in shallows. Convective exchange flows within the entire shelf region in seasonal circle requires 4—7 weeks to reach a quasisteady state. Formation of a linear portion on the horizontal temperature profile can be used as an indicator of the approaching of the flow to the steady state. Flushing time for the shelf zone under steady-state condition is 30 days and is only slightly influenced by the slope length.
