Analyzed the existing cellular network in the city of Svetlogorsk. The expediency of introducing fifth generation networks is substantiated. Taking into account the building density and terrain, signal propagation models were selected, the radio channel budget, the radius of the zone of reliable radio reception, and the number of base stations were calculated.
