The elimination of Latvian khutors in Bashkiria in the Soviet era: the reasons, conditions and consequences
This article focuses on the eradication of Latvian khutors in Bashkiria as a result of the state plan for total collectivization. The author arrives at a conclusion that it resulted in the elimination of conditions for ethnicity development.

Russians in Latvia: Peculiarities of Socio-cultural Adaptation and Identity

The article presents a number of factors hampering the integration of ethnic Russians into Latvian society. Variations and options of socio-cultural identity and integration (or assimilation) of the Russian population of Latvia are shown.
