Edward Stachura’s existential character and the Polish wedding chronotope
This article analyses the spatial and temporal structure of Edward Stachura’s short story “The Wedding” in an intertextual dialogue with Sta-nislaw Wyspianski’s play of the same name and in the existential literary-philosophical context. The author focuses on the problem of relations between the individual and the historical national community. The article analyses the logic of solving this problem in the romantic context of Wyspianski’s thinking and the existential context of Stachura’s works

The author focuses on the response to the short stories of the Latvian writer Rudolf Blaumanis within the intertextual space of literature. Blaumanis’s short stories are considered as pre-texts for the works of H. Sudermann, Ch. Aitmatov, and V. Astafyev. The author analyses the logic and forms of interaction between texts in the literary era in question.

The numerological code in Nikolai Kononov’s short story “Tripartite Sibling”
Based on N. Kononov’s short story, this article analyses the numerological code relating to the generation of the plural from the singular I (ego). An increase in the number of objects is accounted for by the dynamic equation N = N+1. The author examines both the visible and hidden techniques of the code representation based on the game possibilities of the language and intertextual references.
