Social competence as an indicator of training quality in rural schoolchildren

Abstract

This article considers the connection between social competence and a phenomenon determining its formation, namely, socialization. The author de-scribes the features of social environment, within which the socialization of rural schoolchildren takes place, and demonstrates the influence of rural socialization agents on the development of social competence deficiencies in rural schoolchildren. The article offers a criterion of the rural schoolchildren training quality.

Possible applications of the resources of the Mathematica programming environment to solving mathematical problems

Abstract

This article describes possible applications of the resources of the Mathematica programming environment (version 7.0.1.0) in teaching mathematics as a means of the automatic control of initial data input, input data generator, and a means to improve the visibility of mathematical problem solving. The author offers examples of Mathematica codes for each case and identifies the sequence of stages of displaying the whole solution process by means of Mathematica.
