The professional athletes’ idea of family relations
AbstractThis article focuses on the features of professional athletes’ ideas of family relations. The authors analyse the relation structure, role distribution, ways of communication, and egocentrism tendencies in professional athletes’ families. The authors’ idea of the counselling process lies in addressing the features of athletes’ families with the help of the hardware methods of neuromodulation, projective techniques, and corporal therapy. The authors identify four areas of counselling and offer recommendations on using the “Family sociogramme” methodology” in working with athlete’s families.
