The Swedish institute’s scholarship policy as a soft power instrument
This paper examines how soft power, nation branding and academic cooperation came together in the scholarship policy pursued by the Swedish Institute (SI) from 1995 to 2023. An investigation of the organisation’s materials, scholarship statistics and feedback interviews with SI programme alumni suggests that the implementation of the scholarship policy was erratic during the study period. A comprehensive analysis of the Institute’s efforts was carried out to describe the relationship between nation ...
А circuit of negative feedback by noises for the oscillator with varicaps
It is proposed a circuit of negative feedback for the reduction of phase noise. The circuit compensate the influence of amplitude fluctuations on the value of the average for the period of the oscillation capacitance of the varac-tors and thereby reduces phase noise VCO.

Development of a monitoring and control system for the indoor microclimate
... directly, and with an intermediate device, for example, with a controller or a local hub. In the current implementation, obtaining data on temperature, humidity and energy consumption of heating in a room has been created. The system also includes a feedback channel for controlling actuator devices, that is, command devices. One of these types of devices is a heat exchanger — a device for blowing air into a room for the purpose of thermoregulation. The current implementation also provides for ...

A method for reducing phase noise in oscillator with variable-capacitance diode
A method for reducing phase noise in voltage-controlled oscillator by introducing negative feedback noise circuit, offsetting the effect of fluctuations in the amplitude on the variable-capacitance diode capacity is proposed. The relationship between the level of the amplitude fluctuations and the amount of compensation of the bias is defined....

Among the population who were regular travelers to Poland before the borders closed due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, 53 % of respondents indicated a decline in the frequency of their trips from year to year. According to their feedback, the most significant reason for this decline was the decreasing benefits of such trips, primarily influenced by the changing exchange rate of the Russian ruble against the Polish currency. The growth in associated costs (insurance, visa) and ...
Events and narration in socio-cultural practices
... society, a cause and reason for actions and an initiator of terraced events that inevitably occur as a response to events in reality. The emerging connections ‘event — narrative — action (special event)’ represent a system with a controlled feedback. Depending on a change in the factors of the occurrence and course of events, such a system can both enhance and reduce the result and consequences of events. In these systems, an event triggers social and cultural processes and creates social ...
Application of adaptive control algorithms to improve the performance of a wireless optical communication channel
The possibility of using adaptive control algorithms in wireless optical systems to improve their performance is considered. The use of feedback is proposed to create a dynamic system using the adjustment of the transmitted power level, changing the type of modulation and coding rate for atmospheric attenuation. Modeling and analysis of the system parameters at various distances with ...
On some aspects of psychological assistance on Instagram
... Instagram every day. Each blogger has from 19,000 to 2,500,000 subscribers. The study identified and qualitatively analyzed certain types of psychological assistance: psychological information, individual consultations and online group trainings, feedback is provided in the accounts of both groups. The Mann-Whitney U-test was used to assess differences in the indicators of these groups. The quality and scale of psychological care provided by professional psychologists and parapsychologists differed ...
Development of electric road transport: simulation modelling
... technologies. Based on an authentic model of system dynamics, the authors propose a new approach to simulation modelling of the dissemination of electric vehicles in a given region. The proposed model allows the authors to take into account the key systemic feedback loops between the pool of electric vehicles and the charging infrastructure. In the absence of data required for the econometric methods of demand forecasting, the proposed model can be used for the identification of policies stimulating the ...

The muscle activity biofeedback in the training of Greco-Roman wrestlers
One of the new methods to improve muscle coordination is the muscle activity biofeedback, which is based on the principles of biological feedback and implemented by means of modern computer equipment. The muscle activity biofeedback prevents muscle overexertion and improves muscle coordination, which results in a change in brain mechanisms.
The authors studied the intercoordination of ...
