Abstract
The article focuses on the basic information and need-related components of the development of motivation for adaptive sports in the disabled. The article presents the results of research conducted among hearing impaired sportspeople from the three Russian regions in the framework of the tournament dedicated to the opening of the festival of the “Penguin” sports club for the disabled people at Shuya State Pedagogical University.
